1 About DevKit Pro

DevKit Pro is a free Chrome browser extension developed by SiteAuditHub (siteaudithub.com). It provides web developers, designers, and SEO professionals with a suite of on-page tools to inspect, analyze, and measure webpage elements directly in the browser.

2 Data We Do NOT Collect

3 Local Storage Only

DevKit Pro stores a minimal amount of data locally on your device only using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API:

• Color History: The last 10 colors you picked are saved locally so you can reference them again. This data never leaves your device.
• Tool State: Whether certain tools (Font Inspector, Ruler) are active or inactive is remembered locally between sessions.
• Screenshot Data: Temporary screenshot image data is stored locally only while the editor is open. It is automatically cleared.

This data is stored only on your device and is automatically deleted when you uninstall the extension.

4 Permissions Explained

DevKit Pro requests the following Chrome permissions — here is exactly why each one is needed:

5 No Remote Code or External Servers

DevKit Pro does not load any code from external servers. All extension code, including fonts and libraries (Fabric.js, Inter font), is bundled locally within the extension package. The extension itself does not communicate with any external server or API — all tool processing happens entirely within your browser.

The only exception is the Image Compressor tool, which opens a separate webpage at siteaudithub.com/image-compressor/ in a new browser tab. This page is not part of the extension itself — it is a regular website that you interact with directly, and any images you choose to upload there are handled according to the SiteAuditHub website privacy policy, not this extension privacy policy. See Section 8 for details.

6 No Tracking or Analytics

We do not use any analytics, tracking pixels, or user monitoring tools inside the extension. We have no way of knowing:

• Which websites you visit
• Which tools you use
• How often you use the extension
• Any information about your browsing behavior

7 No Advertising

DevKit Pro contains no advertisements and does not share any data with advertising networks. We do not sell, trade, or transfer your information to any third parties.

8 Image Compressor

Clicking the Image Compressor tool opens siteaudithub.com/image-compressor/ in a new browser tab. This tool does not run inside the extension — it is a standalone webpage where you can upload, compress, and update your own images.

Opening this page does not, by itself, transmit any personal data or browsing history. Any image you choose to upload on that page is sent to and processed by the siteaudithub.com website in order to perform the compression, and is governed by the SiteAuditHub website privacy policy, not by this extension's privacy policy. You are always in control of which images, if any, you choose to upload.

9 Uninstall Feedback Page

When you uninstall DevKit Pro, you may be redirected to a feedback page at siteaudithub.com/uninstall-feedback/ to help us understand why you uninstalled the extension. This redirect uses Chrome's official chrome.runtime.setUninstallURL() API. No personal data is collected or transmitted during this process. Visiting the feedback page is entirely optional.

10 Data Retention

Since we do not collect any user data on our servers, there is nothing to retain. The only data that exists is stored locally on your device:

• Color history and tool preferences — stored in chrome.storage.local
• This data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the extension
• You can also clear it manually via Chrome Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data

11 Children's Privacy

DevKit Pro is designed for web developers and professionals. It is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

12 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of DevKit Pro after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
