Quick Summary SiteAuditHub's tools do NOT require an account and do not collect personal information. Most of our tools process the URL (or text) you submit on our server just long enough to generate your result, then discard it. Three of them, Image Compressor, Meta Tag Generator and Schema Generator, never send what you enter to our server at all; they run entirely inside your browser. The only exception to "nothing is stored" is the Sitemap Generator, which may save the XML file it generates so you have a public link to submit to Search Console (see Section 3).

1 About This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the SiteAuditHub website (siteaudithub.com) and its full suite of 15 free audit tools listed below, plus the SEO Badge page. It also covers our two Chrome extensions, DevKit Pro and Store Inspector for Shopify, at a summary level, each extension has its own dedicated, more detailed privacy policy linked in Section 9.

2 Information We Collect

No login, signup, or account is ever required to use any tool on this site. The only input we process is what you voluntarily submit to a tool: a URL, a block of text you paste into Keyword Density Checker, or rules you paste into Robots.txt Tester. Images you load into Image Compressor and anything you type into Meta Tag Generator or Schema Generator stay in your browser.

We never collect any of the following:

  • Your name, email address, or any contact information
  • Passwords or account credentials, we have no accounts
  • Your IP address, precise location, or device fingerprint for tracking purposes
  • Advertising or remarketing identifiers
  • Any images you process with Image Compressor, they never leave your browser
  • The titles, descriptions or schema details you type into Meta Tag Generator and Schema Generator

What each tool does process, to generate your result:

Full Site Audit, runs a lighter version of SEO Analyzer, Broken Link Checker, Redirect Checker, Virus Checker and the robots.txt check on the one URL you submit, then combines the results into a single score.
SEO Analyzer, fetches the page at the URL you submit and reads its HTML (titles, meta tags, headings, canonical tag) to build the report shown to you.
Broken Link Checker, fetches the page and follows its internal links to check each one's HTTP status.
Redirect Checker, requests the URL you submit and records the chain of redirect responses it receives on the way to the final page.
Virus Checker, fetches the homepage's HTML to scan it for known malicious patterns, and separately requests a short list of common backdoor filenames at that domain to see if any respond.
Hidden Element Checker, fetches the page's HTML to look for elements hidden with display:none or similar CSS.
Sitemap Generator, checks whether the site already publishes its own sitemap, and if not, crawls the site's internal links to build one. See Section 3 for what happens to the file it generates.
Image Compressor, processes the image entirely on your device using your browser's built-in Canvas API. The image file is never uploaded or transmitted anywhere.
Meta Tag Generator, works entirely in your browser. The title, description and other details you type are used to draw the preview and build the tags on your screen, and are never sent to us.
Social Preview Checker, fetches the page at the URL you submit to read its Open Graph and Twitter Card tags, and checks the share image those tags point to.
Schema Generator, works entirely in your browser. The JSON-LD code is built on your screen from what you type, and nothing is sent to us.
Keyword Density Checker, either fetches the visible text of the page at the URL you submit, or reads the text you paste in, then counts words and phrases. The text is discarded once your result is shown.
HTTP Header Checker, requests the URL you submit and records the status code, any redirect hops and the response headers it receives.
Robots.txt Tester, fetches the robots.txt file at the domain you enter, or reads the rules you paste in, to check whether a URL is allowed. The robots.txt generator on the same page runs in your browser.
SSL Checker, connects to the domain you enter over HTTPS to read its public certificate details, such as the issuer, the domains covered and the expiry date.

3 Real-Time Processing & What Gets Stored

For every tool that works from a URL or pasted text, apart from Sitemap Generator: the URL or text you submit is fetched and analyzed in real time on our server to build your result, then discarded once your result is returned. We do not keep a database of URLs people have scanned or the reports generated for them.

Sitemap Generator is the one exception. After crawling your site (or reading its existing sitemap), the tool may save the resulting XML file on our server so you're given a working public link you can submit to Google Search Console. That file contains only the list of page URLs on the site you asked us to map, no personal data, but it does persist on our server, unlike the output of every other tool. You can ask us to remove a previously generated sitemap file at any time via Section 11.

Image Compressor, Meta Tag Generator and Schema Generator never send data to our server in the first place. There is nothing to discard or retain, because the work happens entirely inside your own browser.

Saved in your own browser: the site remembers your light or dark mode choice and, on tool pages, a short list of the last few URLs you checked (the "Recent scans" chips) so you can run them again in one click. Both are kept in your browser's local storage on your device only. They are never sent to our server, and you can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

4 How We Use the Information

Any URL, text or image you submit is used strictly to generate the result for the tool you're using at that moment. We may also look at anonymized, aggregate traffic statistics (like total scans per day) to understand tool usage and catch abuse, this does not involve reading or retaining the content of individual scans.

5 Cookies & Third-Party Scripts

We use a small number of functional cookies for basic site security (for example, distinguishing real visitors from bots), not for advertising or cross-site tracking. We may use Google Analytics to understand general traffic patterns; no personally identifying data is shared with them as part of that.

Cookies we may use:

  • Session cookies, to remember form input temporarily while you use a tool
  • Security cookies, to protect the site against bots and abusive traffic

Your theme choice and recent scans are stored in local storage, not cookies, and stay on your device (see Section 3).

6 Security of Data

The site is served over HTTPS, and our server configuration follows standard security practices. Since URLs submitted to most tools aren't stored after your result is generated, there is very little standing data to secure in the first place. We continuously monitor for suspicious server activity regardless.

7 Children's Privacy

Our tools are not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If we become aware that we've inadvertently received data from a child, we will delete it immediately.

Several of our tools (Full Site Audit, Broken Link Checker, Redirect Checker, Sitemap Generator) necessarily follow links found on the page you submit, since that's how they check link health or map a site. We analyze those linked pages only for the purpose of the tool's report, we don't endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content of third-party sites our tools happen to reach.

SEO Badge: if you add our badge to your own website, the badge image is loaded from our server each time one of your pages is viewed, as with any image hosted on another site. Our server receives the standard technical details that come with any web request, which are kept in normal server logs only and are not used to track or profile your visitors.

9 Browser Extensions

We publish two free Chrome extensions: DevKit Pro and Store Inspector for Shopify. Both are built to run their core features locally in your browser and do not require an account. Each has a dedicated, more detailed privacy policy covering exact permissions and local storage use:

One thing worth calling out here: DevKit Pro's own Image Compressor button opens this website's Image Compressor tool in a new tab, at that point, this website's privacy policy (this page) applies to that tab, not the extension's policy, though as covered in Section 2 that tool still never uploads your images anywhere.

When either extension is uninstalled, Chrome may redirect you to an optional feedback page on this site. No personal data is collected through that redirect.

By using this website and its tools, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of it, please discontinue use of the tools.

11 Your Rights & Requests

Because most tools don't retain your data after generating a result, there is usually nothing to request the deletion of. The one exception is a sitemap file saved by Sitemap Generator (Section 3), if you'd like a previously generated sitemap file removed from our server, contact us with the URL it was generated for and we'll remove it.

12 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our tools change or as legal requirements evolve, most recently to add coverage for Full Site Audit, Meta Tag Generator, Social Preview Checker, Schema Generator, Keyword Density Checker, HTTP Header Checker, Robots.txt Tester, SSL Checker, the SEO Badge, and the theme and recent-scan settings saved in your browser. Any changes will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
